just let go

words on a scrap of antique christening gown.
work in progress.

grief is an uncomprising blade.

if you will allow its scalpelled presence to open your hungry eyes, you will see what needs to be pruned, what needs to be deadheadded, and what needs to be torn up by the roots and taken far from your heart.

no matter what you were told, you do not need to hold onto everything and everyone.

you are beloved.
you are loved.
you are love.

look at your heart undoing itself trying to save everything and everyone.

it’s ok, now, shhhh.

here is your life, always waiting for you to turn your face to what really matters.

everything else will find its way home in its own way.

just let go.
