A blessing for my people, at Samhain.

The veil is thin and the worlds are breathing secrets into each other’s ears tonight.

Gossamer thin. Prayer thin.

As thin as the skin between here, and now.

All is well. All is well.
Ask and it shall be revealed.

Ask what you will with intention. Make your faith known and hold it as a beacon.

Live your life as if it were already done, because somewhere out there it is.

Walk the world on soft, sure feet and speak what you already see, give it a name, give it a home, even as the shape is still thin and gauzy—say that it is done and be done with the asking.

Open your hands and begin the thanking. Gratitude is powerful.

I say, all is well right here in my hands, right here at my feet, right here at my back.

All is well and all manner of things are well, and what I see is not all that I see, and may my eyes be opened, and my tongue be a weapon wrapped in sage; in lavender.

May my spine be an oak, and may my hands know the way to the low bed of the mosses, but also how to find their way to sky, to greet the light, to greet the light.

I bless each of my people that left before me.

I bless them with peace.
I bless them with peace.

And where things were difficult, I say, all is well between us.

No matter what, we will not tie each other up, will not hold each other in chains.

All is well. All is well.

All that is left is the light.
