What I have learnt as an author, from the Goodreads platform:

A book can literally win three of the most coveted literary awards and be a masterpiece, and someone, many ‘someones’ in fact, will still give it a 1* review with a casual,

“No. The writing is just not there.”

Perhaps there is no failure, (as an author), but only opinions.

Reading Goodreads reviews is better than therapy and that’s my lesson chalked up for today.

A bad review is only an opinion.

There are stories waiting inside of you.

You just carry on writing.
