I am a storyteller and a poet.

I use words and thread, pencil and needle, paper and fabric.

my work is an ongoing conversation with myself.

where i find holiness. where i am enough.

i have tried

to carve (your) rules

into the back of my eyes,

so that i might belong.

but

an owl

is calling

outside my

bedroom window,

. a sacred,

nocturnal song.

and

this

holiness

there is nothing wrong

with me.
