Hello, lovely creative soul!
We have made it through the first two weeks of this new year and if you are like me, creativity is beckoning.
Time to get back into that creative space!
Whether you are a writer, a journaller, or an artist of any kind, intuitive writing is a wonderfully accessible tool in any creative person’s toolbox and for myself, as a writer and poet, it forms the scaffolding on which I shape most of my work.
So, here is an invitation for you to book a space at The Writing Sessions, a rich online space where you get to spend a bit of time writing intuitively in response to various different prompts, usually art, or the words of other creatives, but always something that will help you delve a bit deeper into the layers that lie within. There is no requirement to share your work, but from past experience in the writing sessions that I have hosted, it allows for rich feedback from other participants. Whatever arises in your work, we then delve a bit deeper to get to the wisdom and challenges that lie within.
This is not about learning how to craft a poem, or focusing on correct grammar and syntax, so you can not do this wrong. It is about intuition in our creativity and a certain playfulness, always with a listening ear to what wants to be heard in our stories.
You will leave each session with creative seeds to plant in your personal practice.
The important bits before you book:
- group sessions run for 90 minutes and 1:1 sessions run for 60 minutes
- we start the session with a short guided meditation, or focusing on simple breathwork
- the prompts might include images, photographs, quotes, and poetry
- the writing practice will follow a ‘free-form’ and intuitive format
- there is no focus on grammar, or writing structure, only on writing intuitively
- the sessions are relaxed and informal
- the group is always kept small and intimate with no more than 6 people
- you are welcome to book a 1:1 session if you would prefer not to be in a group
- sessions are not recorded
- you will receive the Zoom link straight to your inbox once you have made your booking
- bring a few sheets of paper and whatever you choose to write with
There are sessions every second Tuesday in the evening (UK time) and every second Friday in the morning (UK time) and for 1:1 sessions you are welcome to contact me for bookings.
I look forward to writing with you!
