Fallow, a workshop with Women Poets’ Network

Lovely friends, there is still time to book a space at Fallow, this Saturday.

Many of you know that I also use stitch as a creative medium and that it is intrinsic to my work as writer and poet.

Stitching is incredibly healing, and combined with poetry it creates a visual impact that is a wonderful stepping-stone for conversations around healing, or activism.

If you’d fancy trying it out, you’ll need:

✔️Words from a poem, or a word, or phrase

✔️Any fabric or item of clothing that you want to stitch onto

✔️Some thread – embroidery or ordinary sewing thread

✔️Needle

✔️Scissors

✔️Fabric marking pen (optional!)

Tickets are Pay What You Decide from £6/8/10 and free for Women Poets’ Network members.

Get your tickets now: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/fallow-creative-playtime

You do not need to be proficient at embroidery or stitching. The focus will be on mark-making, the stitching of meaningful words, and the rich layers of metaphor that stitching allows for.
